Flotation
Product Features
Details:
• Larger circulation with 8-10% lower power consumption due to backwards inclined blades on rotor
• Unique air distributor which improves air dispersion
• Flat layout capability which reduces cost of civils, pumps, tanks, etc due to there been no height difference in cells
• Large tank sizes up to 680m3 available in tank or trough cells
• Forced air or self aspirated cells
Flotation
BGRIMM-MAT flotation technology is recognised as world-leading, with in excess of 20,000 flotation cells installed on many different applications. The Beijing General Research Institute for Mining & Metallurgy (BGRIMM) have been active in flotation research, design and construction since 1956 and their Machinery & Automation Technology division (BGRIMM-MAT) is Asia’s leading flotation equipment supplier with over 20,000 flotation cells in operation and over 80% of the Asian market.
Roytec / BGRIMM have supplied flotation cells to major mining operations around the globe such as Palabora Mining Company in South Africa (7 x 320m³ tank cells), Toromocho Project in Peru consisting of a number of flotation cells ranging from 5m3 to 300m3 , McIlvenna Bay Copper/Zinc Project in Canada consisting of numerous KYF -50 and KYF-10 flotation cells and Komoa Copper in DRC consisting of a number of CLF course flotation cells.
Roytec / BGRIMM also have successful installations of their flotation cells on PGMs in the Rustenburg area and on copper oxides & sulphides in the DRC and Zambia.
Roytec will support BGRIMM-MAT with a range of services including test work, equipment sizing, adaption to Western standards, project execution, commissioning, after sales service and local stocking of spares.
The combination of BGRIMM’s leading technology, economical Chinese fabrication, and strong local support from Roytec provides local clients with highly efficient flotation solutions for their needs.
Technology
Our technology and experience
The combination of BGRIMM’s leading technology, economical Chinese fabrication and strong local support from Roytec gives local clients a very attractive option for their flotation needs.
The range of flotation cells
KYF forced air units available in trough or tank cells, with the largest been 680m³ tank cells in operation.
BF self-aspirated flotation cells; these also have a unique internal pumping action, allowing cells to be on one level without cascades or external pumps
Column Cells with superior bubble dispersion using recirculating slurry
