Our Team
Roytec Global boasts a highly motivated team of engineers, all committed to our goal of Excellence. We are led by a Board of Directors who are shareholders in the company and are actively involved in day-to-day operations. Our team has hundreds of man-years of experience in liquid/solid separation equipment.
John is a chartered accountant, holds an MBA and has almost 40 years of experience in various industries. He is an energetic, astute, knowledgeable professional with a solid background in finance, strategic planning, sales, marketing, operations and management of people. His responsibilities at Roytec include strategic planning and funding, risk assessment, ownership structures, tax planning, cash management and oversight of the finance department. John possesses sound leadership, critical thinking, business acumen, integrity, interpersonal skills and sound judgment to the Roytec board.
Peter brings 35 years of experience in filtration and thickening to the Roytec board. He is a past Managing Director of Delkor Technik and has been actively involved in development of Vacuum Belt Filters and High-Rate Thickeners in the industry.
Peter has been responsible for Roytec’s globalisation including relationship development with Chinese partners and establishment of a strong market presence in the Americas.
Peter is currently resident in the United Kingdom, focussing on the development of a European and Middle Eastern market for Roytec.
Hoosen Essack is a Chemical Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in minerals processing, engineering, and strategic business development, supported by certifications in leadership and business management. He has managed test laboratories, led pilot plant programs, and overseen equipment sizing, selection, performance analysis, and commissioning across global projects.
Now heading Sales, Process, and Marketing, Hoosen drives organisational growth through strategy, cross-functional leadership, and customer-focused solutions. Known for building high-performing teams and fostering collaborative partnerships, he combines technical expertise with commercial insight to deliver reliable, fit-for-purpose process solutions and shape the company’s long-term market vision.
Jaun Lubbe is a Mechanical Engineering Technician holding a National Higher Diploma, with 23 years of industry experience, including 19 years with Roytec Global. As Head of the Contracting & Projects Execution department, he leads the delivery of complex projects across the mineral processing sector.
Jaun combines strong technical expertise with hands-on project leadership, ensuring disciplined execution, commercial alignment, and consistent delivery to client expectations.
Krzysztof is a Chartered Engineer and Professional engineer in Australia and South Africa respectively, with more than 25 years of engineering and project management experience in the design and construction of process plants for various commodities. He has held senior positions at various EPC/EPCM companies including GRD Minproc and Logiman. Krzysztof has been involved in the detail design of Roytec Equipment for the past 20 years and as the technical director currently heads up the technical department Roytec.
Dave Morris is Director – Australasia at Roytec Global, bringing nearly 30 years’ experience in metallurgy, process engineering, and business development. He began as a Process Engineer and Metallurgist, including 12 years in plant operations and acting as Plant Superintendent, before moving into sales in 1998.
Samantha is a finance professional with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree and has over 20 years of finance experience. She completed her articles with BDO in 2007 and moved into commerce in 2010. She has been employed with the group since October 2012 and has responsibility across the group’s financial reporting, human resources, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
She is committed to maintaining the highest standard of financial integrity, transparency, and compliance. She is passionate about mentoring colleagues and building a strong, capable finance team.
Roald Sogno is a mechanical engineer and executive leader with over 25 years of experience in engineering, SHEQ governance, and IT within mineral processing and industrial sectors. He aligns quality, safety, environmental, and digital systems with commercial and compliance objectives to drive structured organisational growth.
He led ISO 9001:2015 certification and is advancing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 integration. As Head of IT, he modernises PLM, ERP, CRM, and analytics platforms to enhance operational control, scalability, and data-driven decision-making.
Conrad is a mining and industrial professional with over 20 years’ experience across Africa, combining commercial, technical, and operational expertise. He has held senior roles in sales, key accounts, service, aftermarket, and mechanical design, giving him strong insight into customer needs and asset lifecycle support.
He leads the Aftermarket Spare Parts Department, driving revenue growth, spares availability, and equipment performance globally. He holds a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and an Advanced Project Management qualification.
Thomas has 15 years’ experience in the solid-liquid separation industry with a good knowledge of Thickeners, Vacuum Belt Filters, Filter Presses and Ceramic Disc Filters, As general manager of Roytec China, he focusses on the Roytec China supply chain and Roytec business related to China customers. Thomas is also the international unit general manager of our partnered Toncin Group.
