Roytec Global supply BGRIMM technology for Anglo American Fines Flotation Pilot Plant

The Anglo pilot plant facility will be constructed at the Mogalakwena North Concentrator (Mokopane, Limpopo).

The flotation banks are configured in units of two cells, a bank of six cells will consisting of three units of two cells. This allows a lot of flexibility as the banks can be arranged as required, ie 2,4 or 6 cells in a bank.

Roytec Global allowed for forced air flotation cells instead of naturally aspirated cells with the associated airflow control. The level control system is included in the scope of supply,

1. Improved Cleaner Flotation

• Primary Cleaner Flotation – 6 off KYF 0,4 cells (400 litre)
• Primary Re Cleaner Flotation – 4 off KYF 0,05 cells (50 litre)
• Secondary Cleaner Flotation – 6 off KYF 0,4 cells (400 litre)
• Secondary Re Cleaner Flotation – 4 off KYF 0,05 cells (50 litre)

2. Conventional Cleaner Flotation

• Primary Cleaner Flotation – 6 off KYF 0,4 cells (400 litre)
• Primary Re Cleaner Flotation – 4 off KYF 0,05 cells (50 litre)
• Secondary Cleaner Flotation – 6 off KYF 0,4 cells (400 litre)

Two identical circuits will be used to easily be able to compare a standard flotation circuit to one that can change variables as required.
